Merchandise, New Song and New Show Posted; from Samantha
I’m afraid the cold wetness of Michigan has finally caught up with me and worked its way into my little winter lungs. Sick is what I am. So I’m gulping down Theraflu, the nectar of the Gods, so I’ll be well enough to get back to work on Sunday. I’m delivering pizzas for Papa John’s up here in Western Michigan and Super Bowl Sunday means a good busy tipping day so I need to be well by then.
I went to the Ann Arbor Folk Festival last night and saw some good performances by Mr. Tweedy, Old Crow Medicine Show, and the Carolina Chocolate Drops, but I think the highlight of my night was the one song performed by Joe Pug. What a guy! I hope to see more of him around as we tour.
Andy’s last post on chicken wings inspired me to tell you all about the wings at this place here in GR called Brick Street Cafe. They have these buffalo wings made of falafel or something and they are so GOOD! Buffalafel wings, if you will.
Speaking of combining words with “buffalo,” we’ve added a couple of shirts to the Ramseur online store; one of which happens to be the famed hot-green “Skunkalo” design from this summer’s tour. Check that out (and order till your little heart’s content) by clicking here.
We also added another song from our new album Songs in the Night called “Rising Sun” to our website, myspace & reverbnation player. So, if you’re not reading this on any of those sites, make sure to hop on over and take a listen. And hey, while you’re at it, leave us a message letting us know what you think on our message board. All the coolies are doing it.
Well I’ve got to be off now. My time limit on my library computer is about to expire so wish me wellness and health and some sunshine every once in a while up here. I could sure use it.
OH! One more thing before I run out of time — we just added another tour date: April 15th at the Birchmere in Alexandria, VA with the Felice Brothers! Woo! We’ll be posting all the details for our tour with Thao with the Get Down Stay Down hopefully this week, so make sure to keep your eyeballs peeled.
Until we meet again,
